Layers

Featured Replies

I have seen this website which has the logo in the right hand corner as a layer however whenever I create a layer, I can't get it to centre when I resize the browser window.

How do I use Dreamweaver Cs5 layers to get the same effect as this site.

Sorry if this is posted in the wrong topics but I am new here and am getting very frustrated with this small problem!

http://www.props-n-frocks.co.uk/ : when you resize the window, the logo centres.... How do you create this effect?

Thanks in advance,

J

logo.png is inside this tag

<header>

				<a href="/" id="logo"><img src="/skin/images/logo.png" alt="Props & Frocks – Get on down, dress up!" /></a>
....................
</header>

and the CSS is

header {
 position: relative;
 width: 962px;
 padding: 0 0;
 margin: 0 auto;
 height: 198px;
 z-index: 10;
}

where the width: 962px; and margin: 0 auto; make the header center in wider window resolutions.

Thanks for your help! Although when I open the website in Dreamweaver, it is shown as a layer. When I create a layer, it doesn't move with the table; the centre of the page when the size is changed on a browser.

How does this work?

Thanks,

J

Layers? In Dreamweaver?

You might have to rephrase your question mate, if you can?

and just an FYI in case, using anything other than code-view in Dreamweaver will not always achieve desired results.

I believe the actual logo is just set that way and will not diminish in size because of the coding done for it. You can find how to use the code on many different sites. But it seems the code has already been given above.
