Gallery styling - in lightbox or main CSS file?

I've set up a Gallery page using Fancybox which I want to style using CSS.

 

Do I add the styling to my main styles.css file or the jquery.fancybox-1.3.4.css file? It works fine in both, but I wondered if there is a 'standard' way of handling this type of thing.
