modal

Hi there, I really need some advice. I have to make a login, register, form based site but the navigation is flash based. At first I had a pop-up window containing the login, register forms but my lecturer didn't feel it was suitable and wanted a modal. I have tried Lytebox, Backbase, SimpleModal, and thickbox to no avail. I need the login.php to display inside a nice modal, I need the page behind the modal to relocate to summary.php after the user has logged in. and I need this all to be straight forward ish and fairly speedy. Are there any options to do this with well documented help?

Thanks for any help I receive.

Tara

There's a bunch of examples of different types at the bottom of this page.

What was the problem with the ones you tried? Could you not get them working, or were they working in a different way than what you wanted?

no thats great help! thanks so much, half this stuff I see and it goes woossh over my head but this i kinda "get".

Think the call a modal from an RSS title link would be RSS And XML rather than a modal issue.

<code><a href="someimage.png" rel="lytebox">Cool Image</a> </code> This is something like what id love to be able to add to a linked title in an RSS feed.. does anyone think it's possible? I spoke to someone who said I'd have to take an XSLT page and transform the link there.. :S this is border line suicide mission for me. LOL

That's why I hate code :)

Regarding calling from RSS, unless you can find examples or something, I suspect you might have to look through various RSS specs to see what would be supported. I would have taken a look last night except.. well, I won't lie, I frankly couldn't be arsed ;)
