Web design for beginners! - help!

Featured Replies

Hello Everyone!

This is my first entry on this forum so please bear with me!

After a few glasses of wine over Sunday lunch I foolishly offered to design and create a website for my Aunty, so she can show off her flower arrangements...

I can use computers OK, but can't do any HTML and am not very good at designing things. I've been reading up and there do seem to be a few out there that aren't too expensive.

Can anyone recommend a good easy to use website design software program??? I read about Web Easy Pro - has anyone else used it and is it any good??

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated as I need to get started!!

thanks guys and gals!!

I don't use wysiwyg (what you see is what you get) editors but I hope this site helps. Also if you know basic HTML/CSS it might be worth for you to lookup free templates where you can simply fill in the content and images. Most software packages will also come with some generic templates too.

A friend of mine uses products made by CoffeeCup to make his sites but I have no experience with them so can't vouch much for them, but I'm sure its pretty easy to use as he isn't very tech savvy.

I think it will be better if you bye a template available here

or if you are interested in learning things and then build a website thene you can reffer W3schools.

And for editing HTML I basically use Dreamweaver and to design sites I use Photoshop.
