Calling Eskymo!

Featured Replies

Its really bugging me.

On my site, my a href to a business vcard .vcf opens as text in firefox (a dialog doesnt open to ask you to download it)

But somehow Eskymo has managed to get it to give you the option to download, see here

Looking at the code i dont see what the difference is?

So, if you understood what im asking (i dont think what i just typed made much sense!), how do you do it?

You must make server send your vCard with the correct MIME type. text/x-vcard , text/directory;profile=vCard or text/directory

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/VCard

Here's the thread where Eskymo asked the same question: http://www.webdesignerforum.co.uk/index.ph...60&hl=vcard

Yeah, i shouldve replied sooner... i managed to do it as you said by adding a MIME type to my .htacess.

All is working well now.
