hi all, i need some help.

 

When i put in my php script '£', it displays as £, but i want just this to come up,£.

 

How do i stop this??

use the html code £

This usually happens as a result of the charset. Try changing it to UTF-8

You don't, you set it in your meta tags

Although in theory you could use a header in php, I wouldn't advise it

it hasnt worked, what else can i try? i put a meta above the php, and still displaying the same..

Try ISO-8859-1 for your encoding instead. One of them usually sorts it, I'm not 100% which, but I'm guessing it's not UTF-8 if its not worked for you
