Website Background Image for advertising

Featured Replies

Hi to all

I am very new to webdesign and development and i would like to ask some

topics...My current problem is to make a website that will have

a background image... I saw something similar to the webpage: http://www.ehow.com/

I want to make this usability (background image - website content in the center - scrolling )

But I don't Know How...

Can anyone help me to start?

Thanks

In your CSS file you need to have

body
{
    background-image: url(LINK_TO_IMAGE);
    background-attachment: fixed;
    background-position: 50% 0px;
    background-repeat: no-repeat;
}

Then your background image needs to be like this, http://s0.2mdn.net/2840982/tt.RR_EdibleNation_skin_2000x800.jpg Where the bit of white in the middle will be the width of your websites content area.
