Hello all

 

I wouldn't call myself a designer but I am self taught and have produced websites using Joomla and templates, modifying to suit customers needs.

 

I have an idea for a new site myself, but can not find extensions or work out what I need to make what I have in my head to happen.

 

I'm hoping to get some ideas here or possibly have someone do the work I need to add to a site I build.

 

The site idea is based on a dating site with the usual components

 

I am also considering rolling out a limited version as a facebook app, I have no idea how to do this, so may look at putting this work out to a developer. A chat about this would be good also

 

My wants (ish) are

 

1) A way of rating a profile (or picture) in two ways, A) With maybe a 'Yes' or 'No' button and Option to rate in own words with a limited word count - Each rate attracts a score for both the rater and rated

 

2) The Scores above to be displayed on each profile, with the ability to collate this information in back end (Highest score that week)

Sounds interesting, I would say if your going to look into a developer I would look into a codeigniter developer. This is a framework that uses PHP. I was going to do my project this way and did a lot of research before hand.

 

I see 1 problem with your rating, if its a comment rate, how would this be scored? or would they need to only comment when selecting yes or no?
