January 25, 201115 yr Hi all, I hope ths is ok to post here. I’ve recently been asked to put together a quote for an adult entertainment company who want to offer products for sale. They want it built on Joomla, as the client has experience in that area, and for the most part I can do all they request, except for one area. They have requested a cam function so customers can interact with their models, something along the lines of a smaller version of the popular larger companies such as Live Jasmine and MyFreecams. As I have mentioned I can do all the standard stuff, after all it’s just an elaborate e-commerce website in the end, but I have no clue how to do the cam section, so here’s my queries: 1. Is there a module, plug-in or component that can work alongside all the other features on the site? 2. Does Joomla allow such modules to exist? 3. Can the modules expand, so 1 module will provide 20, 50 cam feeds? The clients has stated that it needs to be scale able, and once built, expanded by the client as the need arises i.e. more visitors, more models etc. The client is happy to pay for the module, so if you have any ideas about what applications could do this I’d be grateful. I believe in the most basic terms you could adapt a standard business conferencing module, but I’m not 100% on that. The client has also stipulated that the website be built as a new site, so no scripts or turnkey solutions are wanted. It has to be Joomla. For the most part all they have requested can be done, I just don’t know if there is anyone out there who builds a cam module that works on the Joomla platform. Your help will be invaluable.
