I'm having trouble getting images to show in notepad ++ when i go to preview them in firefox

in dream weaver under the "create site" you can choose the default folder for where your images are gonna be and then in the code its as simple as typing <img src="header.jpg alt="blah blah blah so on and so forth

does anyone know hot to set this up in notepad ++???

If your images are in a folder you add those via "<img src="images/header.jpg">".

It all depends where your images are kept relative to your page.

If the image and page are both in the same folder you can just put the filename <img src="header.jpg">.

If the image is in a folder above where your page is, common when referring to images in css, you must go up one level. <img src="../images/header.jpg">.

The two dots followed by a slash goes up one level in directories.

You can start your img urls with a slash like <img src="/header.jpg"> to always start from the root directory or you can do it using the absolute url like <img src="www.mysite.co.uk/images/header.jpg">.

Like I said, all depends where your images are relative to your document.

Hope that helps and I understood correctly,
