Do you mean "home page" is your title? If you open your html file in notepad or any other text editor you use and edit the text inbetween the <title> and </title> this will change that - if its what I think you mean...

The icon can be added by adding this line into the "head" of your html file;

<link rel="shortcut icon" href="favicon.ico" />

favicon.ico should be the image you are using.

Get another websites favicon file from your temporary internet files, edit it to the design you require in your image software and then upload it to every directory on your web server and the favicon file will automatically be found by the visitor's browser.

Simple as that.

Or just have;

<link rel="shortcut icon" href="http://www.yoursite.com/favicon.ico" />

Then you only need 1 copy of the image thus saving space and download times.

But either ways good :)

...in answer to question 2 - its called a 'favicon'. do a google search for favicon and you will get all the help you need.

a favicon is a small graphic which when saved in the right format using a favicon editor and uploaded to your host space,

will display when users bookmark or just visit your site.

I am pretty sure most browsers automatically grab "./favicon.ico" as the icon if there is no icon specified in the HTML...

Many thanks HTH, done the page titles ok and all look ok.........

Still a bit purplexed about where i find the "favicon.ico" in the html of a site (number 1 Q) so that i may change or modify it and in what programme can i do this ? Photoshop perhaps or Publisher ??

I thank you for your patience but without you looking over shoulder it takes me a bit longer to work out exactly where these bits go ...I am OK with a WYSIWYG prog,thats why am using MS expression,but i still get a bit lost in the HTML side of things .

Your help will be appreciated.
