Latest News updates

Hi all,

I hope someone can point me in the right direction.

I want to create a page that will allow a person to log on and create a new latest news update.

I want the input form to allow the user to input a title, main text and then upload a few pictures. I then want this to automatically create a new PHP document on the server for that specific news article. (i would like to add spell checkers and format editors to this once its up and working).

I would also like it to edit an html file on the server and add the link to the new news article in order to be displayed on the front screen.

I have taught myself PHP in parts so appreciate the point in the right direction.

To give you an idea of what I want to do, feel free to take a look at the site I want to use it for - medinasport.co.uk/team

Thanks in advance,

Crammy

For this i'd recommend you learn the basics of MySQL, it's a fairly simple concept to grasp and once you've got PHP talking to it you'll have a prototype up and running in no time.

A quick google search reveals

So essentially I need to create an input, use PHP to write all the update details to a MySql DB record, then recall it from that database and format it using PHP to display. Is that essentially the theory?

Thanks

Crammy
