July 5, 201016 yr Hi Guys im currently designing a website for a group im in for call of duty and what i want to do is have a few background images on one page and have them fade in and out, i was just wondering is this done with javascript and can you point in the right direction to where i could learn how to do it, or if its a standard bit of code you may know of the top off your head can you post it for me. thanks guys Luke

July 5, 201016 yr It is possible to set the opacity of a div yes, but I would be a bit wary of doing a fade, FF likes opacity a whole lot more than IE in my experience.

Regards, Junior wow I think that should be near the top of the "give a bloke a headache" background page award..! I physically had to squint. lol. Fair play for the effect though, just not the chosen background.

July 6, 201016 yr jQuery provides very easy functions to fade in/out elements via http://api.jquery.com/fadeIn/ and http://api.jquery.com/fadeOut/
