conditional css works only locally

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

I've got a weird problem,please help me.

My conditional css statements for ie versions work only locally;when i upload them on the server they dont.

I tested on a windows virtual machine and using ietester;browsershot and browserlab.

On line they dont work.

I tried two different hosting so i dont think it might be any permission or server issue.

I guess is not my code neither because otherwise they would not work locally.

Anyone has any idea?

anyway here is the code is between the main css links and the js scripts:

<!--[if lt IE 8]>

<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="css/ie.css" />

<![endif]-->

<!--[if gte IE 8]>

<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="css/ie8.css" />

<![endif]-->

<!--[if IE 6]>

<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="css/ie6.css" />

<![endif]-->

Try adding the full address to your css sheets

eg

<!--[if lt IE 8]>
<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="http://yoursite/css/ie.css" />
<![endif]-->
