June 18, 201016 yr Hi I'm a complete novice so any tips would be much appreciated! I need to make updates to a community website and have been given a copy of Dreamweaver 4. Someone has said I won't be able to make changes as the website was developed using Microsoft FrontPage. That doesn't seem right. Surely the website is portable? I'm just starting the Dreamweaver tutorial so it will be a few days before I can get started. If I know it can be done I'll have a lot more confidence having a go! Many thanks Anna
June 18, 201016 yr HTML is HTML. PHP is PHP. They can be opened in any program you like, even notepad and other plain text editors. It's just plain text, only once you give the pages certain extensions do programs know what to do with it and how to interpret it. So yes is the short answer.
