Passing on Link Information

Featured Replies

I have a link in a HTML page that jumps to a PHP script that emails me.

But since I have lots of HTML pages with this link to the script, is there any way that I can insert into the PHP script or the HTML Code, that the referral came from Link 1 or Link 2 etc etc.

I can then insert into the "Subject" of the PHP script where the link jump came from?

Otherwise if I ask the customer to key in what page he came from it looks unprofessional.

Thanks

Hi mynot, to pick up the referring page you can

<?php $ref = $_SERVER['HTTP_REFERER']; ?>

, however I am not sure if this will work with the form. Another solution would be to go through the site and add a hidden form input but that could be a pain.

Hope this helped a little.
