March 25, 201016 yr Hi, I am using PUTTY to connect to a mysql server, with ssh port 22. It lets me connect, it also prints out the last time I logged in then suddenly the connection is closed by the remote serverand the window becomes inactive. If anyone have any idea why it happens and what could I do with it, please help. Or if I could use another application not PUTTY... Thanks!
March 25, 201016 yr I use tunnelier on windows. It could be that your host doesn't allow connections for more than a certain period, or you are doing something that the host doesn't like. in any case you would be best to contact your hosting company to work out why this is happening. Is there any particular reason you need to access the server via SSH and not just straight to the mysql server on 3306???

No I have no particular reason of using ssh, but on port 3306 it is just saying that access denied... That was why I tried ssh, but it closes connection. I will try tunnelier.. March 25, 201016 yr If that's the case, you will need to get your host to allow access from any ip for your username in mysql username@% and grant all privileges.
