I think this is most easily achieved in javascript, but I'm completely lost when it comes to it!

 

I'm finishing up a basic site for my University radio station, and want to have an area at the top of the page where it states the name of the show broadcasting at that time. Can anyone point me in the right direction, either to an open source script that would do the trick, or to some sort of tutorial? As a side note I'm probably looking at having around 50 different shows to accommodate.

I think expanding on my problem might rule out using php, I'm using joomla, and planned on embedding the code in the page template rather than in the joomla content, as far as I know, php will only work in the content of the joomla page?
