Hi guys!

Well...what a 4 months! I haven't been on WDF for ages, so I thought you guys ought to have an update!

Uni: I got into staffs to do web design :) The maths stuff has been really hard, but I think thats it- I dont think we seem to have it next semester! However, the main web module has been really good- I have a good feeling about the demo - loads of people were coming out of it pale saying they were evil (a demo is where you show how your site meets their criteria, a little like a practical exam, but one to one with a course tutor) but I think mine went well (unless they are trying to lure me into a false sense of security!) as he kept ticking the criteria - I was well chuffed with my assignment as I managed to get EVERY SINGLE PAGE validated both with my CSS and XHTML. I tested the site on the WCAG thingymebob and got the Priority 1 - which is could as this is supposedly our legal requirement. The only hitch is the page aligns slightly weird on widescreens, but you live and learn! However, I was ok with it as other than that it works in firefox, chrome, opera, ie etc.

I was really chuffed as it not only passes these, but my wii, mobile etc could "read" it too - so could my friends screen reader (partially sighted!).

I also was quite happy as I have got a bit of work doing a web newsletter for a company, and also doing the odd "no fix no fee" computer *first aid* work :) The last one I went to was a client who had been without internet for 2 weeks, had virgin technicians out to try and sort it, and just about to change ISPs - I fixed it ! I felt rather clever if I may say so :p

This didn't mean to be boasty but things recently have been going quite well and I wanted to share this! :)
