Hi all,

 

I need to put a really simply form on my site that allows a user to send their company name, address, email, web address, phone number and whether they are a manufacturer, distributor, retailer or online shop. when they hit submit it should send me an email. I have tried for days to get it to work with a mailto form but no success. I think i need to do it using using cgi and perl or other but have zero knowledge of the above. I dont want to use a hosted service like Jotform. can anyone help me with what I need perl wise on my server (linux), what i need html wise and how to set it all up. I am tearing what hair i have out at the moment!!!

had a quick go - all seems easy enough but it still isnt sending me any mail!!

any more ideas anyone??

Once I save the code as a .htm and .pl, do i just upload them to my server?

Just thought I better check with my host what platform they support and they said the package I have does not support scripting. DOH!!!!
