November 17, 200916 yr Hi every1, im wondering if i could get some advice from some of you. I am wanting to set up my own website which allows customers to view greetings cards and edit the text that appears on them, kinda like the big personalised greetings card websites youd find if you searched on google. I know nothing about website design so i was wondering would something like this cost a fortune to get made by a website designer? thanks for any help, Craig.
November 18, 200916 yr I'd say it would cost quite a bit. You've not only got to design an interface that lets users add their own greetings but you've then got to take payments from them as well.... I'd recommend setting up a site and blog that promotes DIY greetings cards and then become an affiliate for a company that already does this. Check out the Google results for greetings card affiliate for starters. That way, you're not competing against the big boys, you're working with them. Of course, if you've got thousands of pounds (and I mean thousands) drop me a line and I'll build you a system! Cheers Colin
