As smarty compiles the files to an HTML file surely this should be a piece of cake. Are the html files directly access by the browser or does a PHP script pass users onto it? If not the urls will still need to be handled by the PHP script. So it won't just be a Smarty job.
November 12, 200916 yr Author On closer inspection this is how it works. You run your php file. Say index.php. Within there you compile you smarty files. Say header.tpl, left-column-tpl, user_login.tpl, content.tpl, footer.tpl Then at the end you use the smarty command ->display. This compiles each of these files into xxxx.tpl.php files which php then converts to html. So I guess the question is, how do yo get php to write the html files to the server and then call them instead?
