Looking for Dreamweaver Extension

...that will allow me to create a dynamic dependent drop down menu for user selections. Basically I just want something for PhP that will allow customers to choose Gender, Style, Color and so on from individual drop downs with each succeeding drop down pulling the relevant info from the database. Any information on how best to accomplish this would be greatly appreciated.

I think what you need is this ,

Demo

http://www.kaosweaver.com/demo/index.php?id=25

eatures of Dropdown Menu/List Rewrite:

Loads the source select's text and values

Sets up the target select's text and values paired up with the source select's individual entries.

Manages all of the data in JavaScript

Notes:

Requires JavaScript

Dropdown Menu/List Rewrite Quick Guide:

Setup a form with two dropdown lists on the page, populate the first dropdown.

Select the first dropdown and open the Dropdown behavior (under the kaos menu in the behaviors panel).

Select an option from the top list (which you entered in step 1).

Enter a value and label and click Add.

Repeat for all options dependent on the selected option in the first box. For example, if you had automobile manufacturers in the first box and Ford was your first entry, you would enter F150, Explorer, Mustang in the entries (one at a time), then select Nissan and enter Altima, Quest, xTerra for that entry.

Select the target dropdown.

Click OK.

I would send it to you but that would be un-fair to Kaosweaver its only $9.95 to purchase anyway.

Enjoy.

Ok I do not have a list of behaviors under Kaos (already bought it on my quest to figure this out), it just says list/menu rewrite. it looks similar to the options you describe however when I go through list/menu rewrite and assign the values i get "tbd" in my dependant dropdown. Can you tell me what I'm not seeing?

I'm kind of flabbergasted at how difficult such a seemingly simple operation is. I'm essentially looking to accomplish this: http://www.tshirthell.com/funny-shirts/marshmallow-roast/?fdo=n

If you click on each selection you'll notice the page refreshes while the relevant information is pulled from the database to populate the next dropdown menu. I'd just like to know what the best way is to accomplish this behavior, as well as be sure that it's compatible with my shopping cart. It seems like the web is completely dry on good info for this.

I have not used the Kaosweaver extensions, although I have bought a few....
