September 19, 200917 yr So I have been putting together a mini site as a test bed for things and also as a place to send people if they ask me what I have done. Since its not much at the moment I thought a small site would be fun. I have an issue though. it works fine (from what I can see) in Firefox, Chrome, Safari and IE8 I even added a PNG alpha transparency fix for IE6. but for some reason IE6&7 wont load the jQuery?? I cant find any reason for this so thought I would post it up and see if any of you kind people would help?? I was going to post it in the feedback forum but since all I would get is loads of people telling me it dosent work for them I figured the debut would have to be here!! So let me know you thoughts on the design too! Cheers!! www.tobomedia.com
September 19, 200917 yr One thing I would suggest: <script type="text/javascript"> $(document).ready(function(){ $('.nav').localScroll({ target:'#main', duration: 4000, }); }); </script> <script type="text/javascript">$(function(){ $.Lightbox.construct({ show_linkback: false, download_link: false, opacity: 0.7, show_extended_info: true, }); }); </script> <script type="text/javascript"> $(document).ready(function(){ $(document).pngFix(); }); </script> Having 3 lots of document.ready() is not going to be helping. Try this: <script type="text/javascript"> $(document),ready(function() { $('.nav').localScroll({ target:'#main', duration: 4000, }); $.Lightbox.construct({ show_linkback: false, download_link: false, opacity: 0.7, show_extended_info: true, }); $(document).pngFix(); }); </script>
September 19, 200917 yr Author Thanks I had thought there must be another way to call the scripts at once unfortunatly this way of calling them breaks the local scroll plugin? Any more ideas welcome! appreciate the time you took.
September 19, 200917 yr Hmm not sure why. Try this: <script type="text/javascript"> $(document).ready(function(){ $('.nav').localScroll({ target:'#main', duration: 4000 }); $.Lightbox.construct({ show_linkback: false, download_link: false, opacity: 0.7, show_extended_info: true, }); $(document).pngFix(); }); </script>
September 21, 200917 yr Author Aha! that worked but still no luck with IE7. Guess it didn't like the extra spaces in the first one? Thanks for the help! Any more suggestions how I can get IE7 to stop throwing up errors??
September 23, 200917 yr Author This is getting silly now someone must know why IE7 wont work??? I ve tried everything!? Please???
