Hi,

My Name is Sheree. Newbie to the site So Hi all and please be patient til i get the hang of posting

I wish to produce a new website with an auction type format like ebay but with fixed prices i.e. no bidding. This may sound a little confusing but basically i want to open a web shop that customers upload all their own pics, put in their own prices and descriptions but the prices are fixed.

I Intend use of the site to be free to every non trade seller to sell their unwanted goods.

Now, My Question is - Can anyone help me locate any scripts to match my criteria - preferably as cheaply or FREE as possible

I have basic knowledge of HTML and could put together a basic informational website and upload it and whatever but my high tech knowledge is not so high tec eg php or cgi tho if instructions with my scripts were good enough i could follow any instructions easily - i.e as long as they tell me put this here and that there...

Cheap or Free Scripts that are good...

Appreciated

Sheree

Hi Sheree,

There are a few classified ads scripts out there which would do what you're asking for, if your hosting provider has PHP/MySQL functionality I would recommend Open Classifieds @ www.open-classifieds.com - it's quite simple and is template based so you could edit the pages to suit the look of your site. There's a demo site you can have a look around and it has quite comprehensive instructions.

Alternatively HotScripts lists quite a few others (some paid, some free) which you can have a look at http://www.hotscripts.com/category/php/scripts-programs/classified-ads/general/
