Could someone please explain why the Absoloute Unique Visitors total may be different to the New Visits (New v Returning)on Analytics. I understand that one metric measure visits and the other measures visitors but surely the 2 numbers mentioned should be the same.

As I understand it, an Absolute Unique Visitor is each unique user during the period (counted once only), but the New Visits only counts new visitors never seen before.
