This website design is great by the way. But when looking at it I realized that every time I re-visited the homepage, the large quote at the top changes.

 

How is this done?

 

Is it some sort of Wordpress feature or am I able to do this with my own websites?

It's done using a php randomiser.

 

Search google for 'php random text / quote' or something along those lines, you'll be bound to find something.
