Can someone advise how this effect is achieved?

Hi there

I'm a beginner with Photoshop and I was following this tutorial.

http://pcandweb.com/tutorials/how-to-create-simple-greenary-layout-wordpress-photoshop.html

Unfortunately the download link to a .rar file that contains a .psd of the design (found at the bottom of the page) doesn't work and the writer doesn't go into detail on how exactly how he achieved the gradient effects for the header. I'm talking about what colours were used and not how to make a gradient in photoshop.

Below is what I'm trying to achieve. Can anyone talk me through how I would get this......how is the gradient made on the second bar going down from the top...and what has been done to the third bar going down from the top to give it that slightly 3d beveled look.

Any help would be appreciated.
