Fading background images Randomly

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have been looking for a way to get a background image on a site to randomly fade into another image from an array of images.

(for example: there are 5 images in the array and they randomly fade into each other every 10 seconds)

Has anyone done anything similiar to this before in jQuery?

Thanks in advance

and this about random selection http://www.ultrashock.com/forums/actionscr...-out-78012.html

There are plenty of javascript scripts for this, I've used

http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex14...inslideshow.htm

where the holding time on each image can be controlled but the change to the next image is quite quick; other scripts have a slower fade from one to the next.

Try Hotscripts http://www.hotscripts.com/category/javascr.../image-effects/

You ask for a background, but in the above cases you would have to put the images in a wrapper div 100% wide and put your page content on top.
