June 18, 200917 yr Hello hello all Click4Click is a new approach (still currently under construction) and here is what it either allows/does and is to allow or do later... 1. Enter any domain you like and view statistics on that domain (nothing new) 2. The statistics are based on activity on Click4Click.co.uk only (any activity in the wordpress blog relating to a domain) 3. Automated comparison of domains from age to their own statistics and TLD etc to establish an indication to just how much better .com is to .info for example. 4. Competition unique to the website for points scored on a domain. The aim is to have different leagues so that our bigger names like Google.com or Twitter.com are not in the top. We want to make it a place for the little guys really and this might happen by default (hopefully!) 5. Riding on the back of all this is a traffic sharing system however we plan to moderate it and put in place restrictions to push users into actually commenting about the domains they visit. Also it is not automated users must visit domains on their browser and go through the steps. We'll do this by counting how many domains a person visits compared to comments they make etc. Participation will be essential. This is a difficult one because we need to decide on what exactly we want people to say. Currently suggestion is a quick rating form i.e. 1-5 for Design, 1-5 Usability you all know the rest. The project is being developed in our spare time but should be at near completion within the next couple of weeks. One thing we're very keen on doing is keeping the whole participation thing on a high level and not allowing the site to stay some sort of cheeky traffic trick as it pretty much is in its current state. Suggestions, ideas regarding http://www.click4click.co.uk or anything else are welcome. You might even think it is a totally crap idea which your welcome to suggest but please make comments creative as this group of recent graduates needs all the feedback we can get. Oh and thanks forum mods for a relaxed policy that allows such discussions. Some forums are a nightmare, slightest mention of your domain and your going no where fast Thanks Ryan
