A few weeks ago Firefox started opening links with target="_blank" in a new window instead of a tab. I checked the settings and everything is as it should be. I also disabled any new extensions I'd installed, but it's still not working.

 

Has anyone had encountered the same problem and know of a fix? It's starting to annoy me now...

By 'checked settings' I presume you mean under Tools -> Options -> Tabs and you don't have 'Open in new window' selected.

 

You could always try switching it over,saving, and then changing back and saving again, just to see if that kicks itself into gear?
