I have created a simple form where users input text only details and then they click submit. What to I need to do to make this info be sent to my email inbox? Please remember i know nothing other than HTML so I need real simple discriptions of what to do!!! I have attached my html file... Hope you can help thanks Dan form.htm

April 9, 200917 yr Author Hi, uploaded both files. when I clisk submit it tries to download the PHP file? Dan as far as I know - yes. I have uploaded and run forums before, will check with the host though.

April 9, 200917 yr Or, if you can't wait for them to get back to you, create a phpinfo file * * If you don't know how... it contains just <?php phpinfo(); ?> save as something like phpinfo.php and upload. If you can visit it and it displays all sorts of info about PHP in a pretty puple table, you have PHP. Remove the file again afterwards, though.
April 9, 200917 yr Quote from other forum - not mine Well, the most you could do without a server-side script is to send the e-mail using the user's default e-mail client by using the mailto protocol.getURL("mailto:me@me.com"); If you want to be define the headers (subject, body, cc, etc), the recipient's address must be followed by a question mark (?) and each header must be separated by an ampersand (&). getURL("mailto:me@me.com?subject=My Subject&body=My Message");
April 9, 200917 yr Ooops, crossed posts! I may have a Perl script lying around somewhere... hang on a few minutes. UPDATE: Nope, sorry. It was PHP after all. I have a standard PHP one I use and adapt so had it in my head one I inherited from someone else's site was Perl - but it was just a different PHP one with lots of JavaScript verification.

I have been using "mailto:" until now but I need specific info capturing as per the original attached file.
