IE8 Developer Tools Problem

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,

Ive been building a website on my PC and checked it in FF3 and IE8.

If I go to the Developer Tools in IE8 and choose IE7, then the Hover state's wont work?

But...When i had a look at the site on my laptop which runs FF3, Chrome and IE7 - The hover state's work correctly.

Anybody shed some light on this?

I thought that the IE8 Developer Tool gave you the option to choose IE8 or IE7 standards, but for some reason when in IE7 Mode - The Hover state does not work correctly????

Not really sure what's up with that but I would just scratch another one up for IE and it's determination to make it's own standards and expect everyone else to follow them.

I find it strange how its works fine in IE7 but not under the IE7 Standards mode (which is to mimick IE7 i believe) in IE8??
