March 25, 200917 yr Hello to all! I probably should have posted here first, but in my eagerness to 'get things done', I dived straight in to the help section... I'm new to web design/coding, but I'm really good at using Google, so hopefully I won't annoy too many people with daft questions. At the moment, I'm studying for a Degree in Film, but figured a blog would be a great place to start 'making my mark', so to speak. Having briefly flirted with Dreamweaver a few years ago, I managed to get a bit of basic HTML into my head, but CSS was still a new idea as far as I can remember, so figuring out Div and Float is really killing me, but I'll get there. In all honesty, Dreamweaver, even back then, is such a monumental piece of kit, that it took longer to figure out how to do a basic page than learning HTML to begin with. It seems some people just have an innate fear of text input... Something I managed to overcome when I made the switch to Linux... lots of text there. So yeah, I'm hoping that my blog will become popular, although there's just some filler content there for now, and the site is in a state of flux until I can get it the way I want - It was recommended that I not publish the site until it was finished, but if I had done that, I would never have known about the IE incompatibility i'm trying to handle at the moment... Wow. Never meant to write so much. To the guys who've helped me so far - 'Thanks!'; to those who might help in the future - 'Thanks in Advance!'
