March 17, 200917 yr I'd like to hear some opinions on which name you prefer. The site's content is mainly guides (not so much straight reviews) and blog posts to small issues that "gamers" and other PC enthusiasts have, ranging from solutions to driver problems and configuration tips to mini reviews of things like the question whether RAM speed actually matters. So it's not a real "pose a question - get an answer" type website, although many blog posts/mini reviews will concern questions that are currently debated in the forums/other hardware forums. As I'm not a native English speaker I'd like to hear your opinion on what AskNickel sound like for you natives I'm afraid the Ask makes it sound like one of those help columns you find in newspapers and magazines regarding weird stuff like astronomy etc. What do you think? PS: I apologize if it's not common practice here to have two threads running on a similar but different issue in the same forum. The forums that I usually visit don't mind (or encourage) this...
March 17, 200917 yr Personally, I'd go for Technick, plus it's pretty close to Technik, the hardware company, so it's likely you'll get accidental visitors, backlinks etc which would be nice
March 17, 200917 yr Author Thanks for the reply! I also like TechNick better, only problem is that I'm not sure whether I can buy it from the current owner (see my other thread). So maybe I should have asked if there are any good reasons not to go with asknickel.com and try everything to get technick.com or try to think of another name.
April 1, 200917 yr if you are unable to purchase technick.com - have you tried technickel.com? It's a combination of the two domains you were looking at but also a little play on the word 'technical' - might work?
