March 14, 200917 yr Hey guys, I am a beginner, complete and total newbie!! I have been learning web design recently and I have a project where I have to create a site for a client for college. I created my site in photoshop. Sliced it up, save as web... and all was fine until i tried to set it up in dreamweaver!! nightmare Well I open dreamweaver, got my root and everything, opened index.html. I have content areas which need text in. The steps I have been advised to take, are as followed: Delete content area, insert div tag, set new CSS and save, then locate background image from the images file that photoshop created. So ive done that. Only problem is, when i add text, my site it messing up really badly!! Images are being knocked out of place and its driving me nuts...Mainly when i hit return. I am guessing this is because it is in tables..tables can be a ngihtmare, i know that.. but am I missing anything obvious? Is there another way in which I can do this? Please take a look at my attachements, they are showing my layout and what is happening. Can you see anything obvious from my images? Thanks guys, need this done by the end of april and kind of stressing out a bit lol Thanks!
March 14, 200917 yr Do you have a URL for the site we can view for ourselves? Looking at the source code is the only real way you'll find an answer to the problem. Also, if possible ditch the use of tables, this isn't the 90's anymore!
