March 11, 200917 yr Well looks as if i've been the victim of a hacking attempt! Fortunatly they failed miserably. Anyhow, blocked their IP I've got no interest in checking out the file they tried to run. It's pathetic. It was another URL fetch which according to my access logs generated a 404 obviously.

March 12, 200917 yr Author Fortunatly I didn't see that link, whatever it was, only just seen the replies now. I have no idea anyway Snider. As a general rule of the thumb, unless the attack is successful, I never ever checkout the file they tried to call.
March 13, 200917 yr We have actually written a spider that is designed to crawl a website and randomly POST or GET request mysql exploitations, it's not designed to be mallicious - it's designed to give us a head's up on if one of our sites have any major security holes. The thing is that it is soooo easy to just exploit people's incompetence in php programming as some people are so slack with their programming... I have even, once been able to modify someone's php.ini file on the fly!
March 13, 200917 yr Careful with that link my AV flagged it as a trojan. its not a downloadable, it was a txt document of php code ment to be run remotely from a hacker, wont do ANYTHING by viewing it. unless your viewing via remote php file include, and even then it will just show you system information, so AV is talking bullshank my friend, utter bullshank. Fortunatly I didn't see that link, whatever it was, only just seen the replies now. was no threat directly to anyone, i would never knowingly put other peoples pc's at risk, once apon a time yes, but thats a different life... and anyway its a freely available php script... just check your server logs... or search php remote exploit script. unless the attack is successful, I never ever checkout the file they tried to call..... each to there own i guess, see i check them so i know what there "trying" so i can be proactive, because if they get in you failed at your job, your to late, your boss knows it, and your in the crapper.

I was just going off what other people had said. Sorry I don't check the files though because I've seen most of the common ones. My sites have been pretty reinforced against the common ones.
