PNG Problem

Featured Replies

I am trying to create a header image which has a curved side - if I export as a GIF the edge appears a little jagged - PNG fixes this problem, except in IE6 - thing is, I vaguely remember trying this the other day and it worked fine in IE6 but now with a different image it is showing up a grey background.

There is no alpha transparancy used, it's just a straight forward curved edge with transparancy beside it.

If memory serves me correctly, IE6 supports transparency in png8, but not png24.

Ensure that you are saving in the correct format.

If this doesn't work, google IE6 png fix

Thanks - PNG8 has fixed the problem - there is still slight jaggedness around the edges when I use PNG8 - but it's nothing too worrying :)
