Design Courses

Hey,

I've been given the opportunity to go on a design course (paid for by work) to help me grasp the basics of design. As I'm self taught, I design based on what I think looks good and don't know much about what colours work together etc. I have a good understanding of xHTML/CSS etc, so don't want to take a course specifically on website design. Some of the other courses I've looked at are very arty, and seeing as I can't draw to save my life, I'd quite like to avoid these as well

As I work full time I'm looking for a part time course, definitely not longer than a year. Ideally with some sort of recognised qualification at the end - I might as well take advantage of it being paid for

I was hoping you guys might have some recommendations or pointers as to what I should be looking for.
