Was wondering if anyone could help me with a template in Dreamweaver?

 

I want to put 2 CSS columm inside an editable region of a template. There seems to be no problem with the first columm, but when I insert the second, the columm either appears above the first or below. I have tried using all the div tag Insert options, before tag, after tag etc but still doesn't seem to solve the problem and also a wrapper inside the editable region for the two columms to sit in but still no luck.

Hey, Have you tryed using the float command?

 

something like

#leftcol {
width:500px;
float:left;
background:#330099;
}

#rightcol {
width:200px;
float:left;
background:#330099;
padding:10px 0px;
}

div.container{
width:700px;
float:left;
}

 

then in html:

<div class="container">

<div id="left">

</div>

<div id="right">
</div>

</div>

I'm doing college course from home and my tutor suggested that I should consider using a template. So this that didnt really awnser my question and solve my problem at all.
