January 12, 200917 yr hey, i'm having some troubles with time... i'm in a new job that's taking me the whole day and i cant program new features for my site. I want to keep my site but i haven't got any time to do programming stuff. A friend recommended this site, he said they do Joomla programming but i really don't know if it's ok to use this kind of services... i mean, i've never used this, i always programmed my own stuff. I'd like to know if any of you had already used this services and if they were ok to use them. Thank you very much Victoria
January 12, 200917 yr $14.50/hour seems remarkably cheap for a PHP developer! In the UK, prices start at around £25-30/hour for someone with experience (approx. $40/hour). You might actually find it cheaper overall to pay a higher hourly rate because you get someone experienced who can dedicate their time and do the job fast, hence the cost is less overall. Either that or the staff are cheap, possibly in India like the call centres I can't answer your question other than general common-sense advice though (generally translated as you get what you pay for, and what seems the best deal might not be!).
January 12, 200917 yr I tried an overseas outfit (India) once that I found through Elance. This was before I learned PHP/MYSQL. It was around the same price range as you are looking at with that company you linked to. My opinion would be stay away if the are overseas. You will get EXACTLY what you pay for. If you need any very specific direction or advice with Joomla, PM me.
