Hi Everyone

I am looking to create a ecommerce site over time, currently still learning but my HTML and CSS isn't to bad

I was wondering if anyone could have a look at this site and see what shopping cart software they are using or how i learn how to do it if its custom written

The layout is ideal for the niche site i would like to design but no idea on the way to incorporate a checkout

It's custom written. But you could easily get something like osCommerce to do that job no problems.

Cheers for your reply

Any idea where i would go to learn how to write a cart like that or is it much more indepth than its worth?

I love the layout and its simplicity and the idea of using css to do it myself

Maybe its time to learn php and alter oscommerce myself then

Cheers

No no, I always ecourage people to learn how to do something:

Buy this book, it's worth every penny:

PHP 6 and MySQL 5 for Dynamic Web Sites: Visual QuickPro Guide (Visual QuickPro Guides)

And also, get this one:

SEO with PHP

Armed with both these books you should successfully write a great SEO friendly dynamic website that will slowly rise to the top of the SERPs.

I know it's an outlay of about £25 but believe me it will be the best £25 you will ever spend.
