Courtesy of www.W3.org What do you all think about that? Hey man, less than 20 years since then - some progress has clearly been made! Although I'd argue it was the World Wide Web that took off around that time.. the Internet itself had already been around for a while.

Although I'd argue it was the World Wide Web that took off around that time.. the Internet itself had already been around for a while. i want to say it started around the 1980. but there was a guy who first wrote an article in 1945 about linking something. i would have to go back an read what i found. So that kinda really gives you a better idea of when the first idea of the internet first started. But like you said, progress has been made!
