December 15, 200817 yr Hi I am currently designing a new site, this is really my first attempt at a cms, moving on from a basic html site. I am looking for something that is simple and easy to use that also uses html, flash - one site I am very impressed with is wiggles.com - I like the layout and its user friendly - any idea what this runs off? I think its ASP? and any ideas what CMS i could implement that would give me a similar layout? Many Thanks CJ

To be honest, the CMS is pretty much irrelevant to the layout. Pretty much any CMS will let you change the layout, and also to drop Flash objects into pages too. What will probably be more important is to pick one that's going to be relatively easy to set up. Textpattern is one of my favourites, it's really easy to implement. Wordpress is probably more flexible, but more complicated. It's well documented, though. Both are aimed more at text-based content (eg, blogs or news) but have plugins available to allow shopping carts etc.

I was just about to create a site that used a 12mb background image, 1px text and non-existant navigation that nevertheless managed to change on every page. I'm lucky you enlightened me in time.
