Javascript, Speed & Accessibility

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Wasn't really sure where this topic would go in the forum so I'll try it here.

I'm currently doing a project whereby the sites I'm examining are using Javascript heavily for their navigation (either through menu scripts or by the whole site using J2EE) due to the fact that processing through lots of links/options needs to be extremely quick (big factor for these types of sites).

My main argument is that this use of Javascript is bad for accessibility and disabled users (e.g. no Javascript on screen readers, etc) but what I am trying to do is still be able to match (or get near) the same processing speeds but be accessible as well.

Any ideas for a solution?
