I'm completely stuck and cannot fix this problem, I would be so grateful to anybody who can offer me any advice

 

I'm trying to get this CSS play menu together, its validates and is working just how i want it in all browsers with the exception of Explorer 8, for some reason E8 is putting large gaps between the li lists, does anybody know why and what i need to do to fix it

found a solution, as it was working in all browser with the exception on IE8 i've found a way to sod IE8

if you put this meta tag in your head it makes IE8 behave as IE7

<meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="IE=EmulateIE7" />

 

thanks to anybody who looked at my menu and tried to think of a solution
