i've recently been looking at the Sydney Opera House which is a very obvious choice of a piece of inspiring architecture...

i like this piece of architecture so much because of its elegance in that it has a complex and yet profound form, and also because of the explosive quality it has from the fins bursting upward and outward and amplifying with each step, also adding to this is the robust angular nature it has causing beautiful contrasts in how it catches and reflects the light.
