chartella reacted to Nillervision in confirmation emailsEven though your registration mail reaches the user it might end up in their spam folder. The only thing you can do about it (as far as i know) is to make sure your mail header is set correctly most importantly the From parameter.

chartella reacted to Weedy101 in confirmation emailsOne way of checking this is just people not bothering to complete the process is by adding an 'unsubscribe' link to the email which will take them to a page that when they click the confirm button will automatically delete the incomplete account.
Then set up a cron job that checks if people have completed the account setup process or not after 3 to 5 day's. If they haven't re-send the email.
Then in your sites security settings force a message to be displayed to anybody that has not confirmed their email address and block access to some of you best features until they do.
One important point is that if you don't enforce the registration process fully it is much harder to stop bots or hackers etc from registering in order to abuse your site.

chartella got a reaction from MG1878 in Need your expert help with website colour scheme and layout!Hi,
Looks nice already, but I think you tried to make it too spectacular with all that flashing text. Many (mostly unexperienced) webdesigners make the mistake by thinking that it has to be spectacular to prevent visitors from leaving. Well, the opposite is mostly the case. They will leave then because you made them dizzy.
A mistake that so many webdesigners make that it made a rule born named KISS, which stands for "Keep It Simple Stupid".
Good luck!

Just clicked onto the website and my first thought was it's a bit bland. There's no images that help lift the page and give the website an interesting look and feel.
My suggestion would to be keep it simple for example - Having one large image that represents your website as the background with a signup box in the middle with the logo and maybe a subtext underneath it, like you've already got -
Curious about how other people think about you?Yet again this is just my opinion, on what could help the site.

I think it's an interesting concept for a website.
I feel all the pink is a bit overwhelming - perhaps the background idea would help with that.
There is a typo here: "about this website trought Twitter" and the "Why my birthday" bit needs rewording and also has a typo: "that that".
