  1. Disabling jquery on browser refresh...

Hey guys, thanks for the help. I'll try this method out and get back to you =)
  2. Disabling jquery on browser refresh...

Is it possible to disable jquery code so the code does run again if the page is refreshed or visited again during the same user session? What I'm trying to do is animate the introduction of content on my homepage and disable it from happening again if the user goes back to this page or refreshes it during their visit to my site.
  3. Content switcher help...

Thanks guys, I solved it using this https://code.google.com/p/jquery-content-panel-switcher/ and making some slight modifications =)
  4. Content switcher help...

Hi, I'm trying to look for a tutorial that will help me build a content switcher. There's plenty that are available but these are all image sliders. My idea is a row of icons at the top, and when each icon is clicked the content below switches to the relevant content for the icon clicked. I've attached a quick mock-up of what I mean. Does anyone know where I can get a tutorial or help for this?
  5. Blur effect...

Hi, I'm looking to blur my entire website when I click on a link that creates a popup window. So the overlay colour behind the popup also blurs the website. Does anyone know a good tutorial for this?

  8. 100% div not reaching the bottom...

    Hi, I'm in the middle of developing a test HTML/CSS control panel using percentage widths and heights. When there isn't much content the 100% height function works on the CSS sidebar etc but once there is a lot of content and I have to scroll down on the page, the sidebar no longer goes to the very bottom. Any divs I put in the 'main-container' have no height set on the CSS divs. Does anyone have any idea how to fix it? HTML <div id="wrapper"> <header> </header> <section id="sidebar"> </section> <section id="main-container"> </section> </div> CSS html, body { width:100%;height:100%; overflow:auto;} body{ margin:0; min-height:100%; height:100%; width:100%; padding:0; font-family: 'Open Sans', sans-serif; color:#484848; overflow-y:scroll; } #wrapper{ width:100%; height:100%; min-height:100%; position:relative; margin:0; } header{ width:100%; height:10%; min-height:80px; position:relative; } #sidebar{ display: inline-block; width:20%; min-width:170px; height:90%; min-height:90%; position:relative; } #main-container{ display: inline-block; margin-left:1px; width:78%; height:90%; margin-right:0.5%; vertical-align:top; position:relative; }
  9. Vertical navigation...

Adding a hidden sub navigation is fine. Its getting the navigation to drop down with the sub navigation showing I'm struggling with. Any idea how to get it working with the type of navigation I have set up?
  10. Vertical navigation...

Hi, After a bit of help i've got a vertical navigation sorted and i've got it working with a toggle show/hide feature. What i'm trying to do next is add a drop-down menu to it, so when the user clicks on a link the links below move down to display a sub navigation of a few links. Below is a link to the website test page. Any help would be appreciated. http://www.markclaxton.co.uk/test/
  11. JS with Contact Form...

I've tried that and it doesn't work.
  12. JS with Contact Form...

Hi, I already developed have the form which is working fine, and I have one dropdown menu, but what I want to do next is when one option is selected from the dropdown menu, another dropdown menu will appear below which is connected to the option selected from the first dropdown. For example, if the user selects 'search engine' another dropdown menu will appear below with options to choose which search engine. I've read that using JS 'onselect' might do the trick. Anyone have any tutorials or examples I can look at? Thanks.
  13. Mobile phone browser - text enlarged...

Hi, I'm currently nearing the end of developing our new company website, its basic HTML5 and CSS. What we're finding though is when we access the website on our mobile phone, there is a section here and there with the font enlarged. While the rest of the website font is all the same and as it should be. I've tried the usual tricks such as webkit-text-size-adjust and the meta tags and scaling and none of it seems to work. Any ideas? The font size for this text is set by the css properties for the div box.
  14. CSS image/text...

Hi guys, How can I float a image to the left with text next to it and have it aligned properly? While using <h2> tag as a title in the text. So far without using divs for each part, the text appears higher than the image. <img src="images/quick-to-join.jpg" style="margin-right:10px; vertical-align:text-top; float:left;" /><h2>Lorem Ipsum...</h2> <p>There are many variations of passages of Lorem Ipsum available, but the majority have suffered <span class="orange">alteration</span> in some form, by injected humour.<br /> <br /> <span class="orange">MORE</span><img src="images/arrow-blue.jpg" style="margin-left:5px; vertical-align:text-bottom"/></p>
