29 February 2012 - 09:02 PM
I am not going to waste people's time with competitions as I know how busy people are. So if you would like a dribbble invite, then show me your portfolio and if I like your work, I will draft you in! Simple as that! -
How much work do you get in?
17 August 2011 - 09:26 PM
It seems to me that there has been a sudden surge in people asking for websites just lately and out of interest i was wondering how many people on here have seen there business blossom?
I have also noticed more agencies have started outsourcing more and i have almost(fingers crossed) secured a contract with an London based agency doing Design works.
Anyone else? -
IMPORTANT!
01 July 2011 - 01:11 PM
It's not really, i just wanted to get everyones attention.....
Okay, i have got an idea that may need some tweaking and would need 'the one that never speaks'(ben) input?
I think it would be a good idea if we had a portfolio section on the forum. A section that will give those who wanted to find a freelancer the ability to search through the available freelancers on here. We have a pool of 'talent' on here and i for one are fed up with the nonsense job posts we keep getting - even though it is getting better.
So......we could have a section where peeps can have a ganders at our portfolios, PM the one(s) they like and we can choose whether or not to take it further? And if and when the designer/developer has completed their work, the client can then rate the designer/developer and thus giving the most rated freelancer the highest priority(top of the table), which is in my mind, well deserved.
If we do get PM'd stupid job requests we only have to delete the message and wait for the next tw*t...er...client to PM us. How many minutes have we all waisted on answering these stupid job requests? It's easy to say don't respond, but you just can't help yourselve and once one person starts the flood gates open!
I think it's a good idea anyway? -
How muchdo you guys earn freelancing(company)?
19 June 2011 - 12:13 PM
Just out of curiosity, i was wondering how much you guys earn on average each month while freelancing? I will be taking my services into the freelance arena come August or September(depending how things go) and wanted to land there under no illusions.
Realistically i need to be earning £600(after tax) a month to get by, but my main target is £1600 as this is what i now earn as a full time developer/designer.
Whats happening is... my other half is taking on a full-time position as a senior carer and this will practically be a straight swop in wages, so i am not putting myself(or our family) in any predicament. I just want to get a good idea of what can be earned out there in the freelance world?
Cheers All!
